Bring Your Best Work
to Every English-Language Performance

- Private Coaching with Dino Ladki

Your accent is part of who you are.
Don't lose it. Use it. Confidently.

I integrate the nuances of the English language into the coaching process,

so the truth of the scene never gets lost in translation.

Former Casting Director • 20+ Years Coaching Actors • Warner Bros. • Universal • MTV

Online Worldwide - In-Person in Los Angeles

Speaking English and performing in English are two very different skills.

Even actors who speak English fluently can find themselves thinking about the language instead of living the scene.

Questions about pronunciation, emphasis, idioms, or whether a line means exactly what you think it means can subconsciously pull attention away

from your performance.

Every script presents a different challenge.

A contemporary comedy. A period Western. A police procedural. A medical drama. Urban street slang. Legal terminology. Military jargon. Every genre, profession, and time period has its own vocabulary, rhythm, cultural references, and unspoken rules.

Understanding the words is only part of the work. Understanding the world those words belong to is key to creating a natural, truthful

interpretation of the character.

Language has nuance.  Writing has nuance. Performance has nuance.

When you're acting in a second language, all three have to come together at the same time.  It's my job to help you weave them together seamlessly.

Before I Coached Actors, I Cast Them.

I spent years as a Casting Associate at Warner Bros. and Universal Studios, then built and ran MTV's first scripted casting department from the ground up.

I then spent a number of years as an independent casting director.

I sat on the side of the table that decides who moves forward,

on network pilots, series, and films, for well over a decade.

Today I work with actors from around the world, helping them prepare auditions, callbacks, chemistry reads, rehearsals, and booked roles.

My coaching combines a casting director’s perspective with an actor-centered approach that respects your individuality. I won't teach you a formula or ask you to lose your accent. My job is to help you understand the language on a granular level, the subtleties of the writing, and the world of the script so your interpretation feels honest, specific, and uniquely your own.

Who This Is For:

  •  You're a trained or working actor who performs in English and wants to feel as free in English as you do in your native language.

  •  You've received notes about your accent, phrasing, pacing, or pronunciation and want that to stop being the story.

  •  You're preparing an audition, callback, or booked role and want guidance from someone who has spent years on both sides of the table.

  •  You want to better understand the nuances of the language, the writing, and the world of the script.

Who This Isn't For:

  • You're looking for a general English tutor, an accent reduction program, or traditional ESL instruction.

  • You're looking for a large group class rather than individualized coaching.

  • You're looking for a formula or a one-size-fits-all approach.

  • You're interested primarily in pronunciation rather than performance.

I’ve been Dino’s client for many years now. He’s the best coach an actor could ever ask for! As an international actor, finding a coach who understands that performance isn’t just about acting—it’s also about language, rhythm, and confidence—is incredibly rare.

English isn’t my first language, and one of the things I value most about working with Dino is how naturally he weaves pronunciation, emphasis, and the subtle nuances of meaning into the acting process. It never feels like a separate lesson or something to be self-conscious about. Instead, it becomes part of building a truthful, confident performance.

Dino has an exceptional ability to create a space where you feel supported while still challenging you to do your best work. His notes are insightful, practical, and always in service of the story. I leave every session feeling more prepared, more grounded, and more confident—not only in my choices as an actor, but also in knowing I can fully own the language I’m performing in. I can’t recommend Dino highly enough.

Dino's style and method are very effective, helping me focus on truthful, natural acting on camera.

As an international actor auditioning in English, I especially appreciate how he helps me with pronunciation, phrasing,

and understanding the emotional meaning behind the lines. His guidance makes my English sound more natural and

helps me feel confident and fully prepared for every audition.

I highly recommend him to anyone.

Dino, I just wanted to thank you. It's such a vulnerable thing, trying to act in another language and translate not just the words, but the emotions too. From the very first minute, you made me feel comfortable and confident in myself, and honestly that's the most valuable thing you could have given me.

Thank you for everything!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to be fluent in English?

No. You don't need perfect fluency, but you should already be comfortable speaking conversational English. I'm not an ESL teacher; our work will be focused on performance rather than language instruction.

Can we work together if I'm not in Los Angeles?

Absolutely. Many of the actors I work with live outside the United States, and most sessions take place remotely. We simply find a time that works for both of us.

Is this accent reduction?

No. I'm not trying to eliminate your accent. It's part of what makes you distinctive. The goal is to make sure that it serves the performance rather than distracting from it.

Will we work on pronunciation?

Sometimes. But always in the context of the script, the character, and the scene itself. I don't separate the language from the performance.

What if I don't have an audition right now?

That's perfectly fine. Some actors come to me with a specific audition, while others simply want to become more comfortable performing in English. I also have an archive of material that we can draw from if you'd like something to work on.

Why work with a former casting director?

Because I spent years sitting on the other side of the table. I understand not only the performance itself, but also how casting directors evaluate it and why certain choices connect more strongly than others.

Ready to Get Started?

Stop thinking about the language and start living in the scene.

You already have the talent. You already have the instincts. Now let's make sure that the subtleties in English-language scripts never elude you. And that you have as much freedom performing in English as you do in your native language.
